The Philadelphia Council of clergy is the largest African American Ministers organization in Philadelphia region. It was founded by Rev. (Dr.) Tony Flody.

The Philadelphia Council of Clergy, Inc, comprised of our city's pastors ministers and laity, from conferences, associations, and religious organizations in the Philadelphia area, and is committed to provide Christian Education, training opportunities, publications, counselling and other services. The council seeks to alleviate suffering, overcome oppressions, and foster justice and peace in the Philadelphia Community by advocating accountability and responsibility of churches, government and all institutions.
In 1994, Reverend Dr. Anthony Floyd established what has become the largest African American religious organization in the Philadelphia vicinity. He named it the Philadelphia Council of Clergy, Inc.
